It Was detected automatically but as soon as I inserted a disc it started making a horrible grinding sound.I unplugged it and had to take it apart to retrieve my disc. I then discovered the drive was second-hand, covered in scratches and scuffs where it’s been thrown around between being removed from a recycled 10-year old laptop, and ending up inside a USB-C caddy and sold on Amazon as “New”.It’s an absolute disgrace that a worn out drive manufactured in 2009 can be sold in 2020 as a new drive! ### ⭐ Failed after 3 months. However, one day it went "clunk" when I put a CD in, and it refused to eject.
