Nothing is added and nothing is subtracted from this steam distilled essential oil. It comes straight from a distillery in north east Texas using locally sourced trees. When this oil is exposed to air, it emanates the spicy light fragrance uniquely evocative of nature that everyone loves about cedar oil. Straight from the container, the darker scents of Juniperus Virginiana wood alcohols will predominate. Using this oil in a diffuser produces a sweeter aroma containing both the spicy tones from air-exposed oil and the darker tones found directly from the container. This essential oil can restore cedarwood products (including chests and closets), freshen the air with an invigorating scent, and add an amazing cedar fragrance to aromatic products such as candles, soaps, and fragrances. To ensure the fullest range of aromas, the cedar wood used in the production of this oil is ground just prior to oil extraction so nothing is lost due to overly exposed wood. This long lasting cedar oil is unspoiled by oxidation or other reactions because stainless steel is extensively used during and after oil production. Steam is condensed, and oil is separated, with only stainless steel contact. Finally, oil is gathered in stainless steel containers before being canned or bottled for shipment. Review: Excellent Flea - This is seriously the most amazing product I’ve ever used in my life. I’ve been struggling with a flea infestation, that was practically eating the dogs alive. There were maybe thousands of fleas. I constantly bathed them and they would hatch hundreds more the next day. It was a never ending battle. **Q: Does fox cedar oil have an expiration date?  how long will the effectiveness last if i don't open the can until 4 months from date i receive it?**
A: No, we do not have an expiration date. If the can is not opened and is kept at below 100 degrees F, it should last for at least 5 years.

**Q: how do you open it? am I supposed to puncture with a screwdriver or open with needle-nose pliers?**
A: Unscrew the lid and puncture the inner seal with a small screwdriver nail, icepick or other sharp tool. The inner seal can then be popped out.

**Q: Is this clear?**
A: Our oil is very translucent. You can see through it in a clear glass bottle. But the oil is not colorless. It is light brown with a red tint.

**Q: Is this water soluble? I have read from many sources that distilled cedarwood oil doesn't require an emulsifier**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good cedar oil

I am really glad I got this! I have an old 1950's cedar chest that didn't smell cedar-y anymore. So I wiped this cedar oil over the cedar wood inside the chest and let it soak in, then wiped off any excess. Voila, now the cedar chest will repel moths for years to come! My woolens are safe. It is, definitely, a pain to open the bottle. You need a hammer and an ice pick (seriously!). But once you've got those, you're set. And yes, it does in fact smell like cedar. I don't understand the reviews saying that it doesn't.
