The St. Martin's Handbook, 7th Edition

I waited midway through the semester hoping I would get by without having to purchase another textbook. However, after using the Professor' and the Library's copy, I immediately knew how valuable and useful this book would serve me. Not only was this a great investment, but also a great buy at a GREAT price. Ordering and receiving my order was a no hassle experience. Thank you! Book came looking brand new. This book really helps with In text citations and works cited page for Essay writing and Research papers.

This book was purchased for my daughter's senior english class. I was purchasing the book used with the intent of selling it back after she completes using it in her last year in high school. However, after purchasing the book at a much lower used price and reviewing the book, I have decided that the book is in a much better quality, it actually looks new. We will be keeping the book as I am sure she will be using it for probably all of her college years and beyond. Thanks Amazon, I'm glad I did not have to pay the full price.

This is a really nice book for all your English writing techniques. What I noticed is that things have changed since I was in school - like double spacing after a period, which I keep to (even though the book says single space only) and ended up asking the instructor to forgive since I hadn't known it changed until AFTER reading the book....and would indefinitely be a tough habit to break. I really needed to book for the citations on my work and this book cleared a lot of that up. Just need to be very careful between each mediums version as they all vary slightly.

Every college student needs a handbook, and this one is fantastic. It's smallish, so it fits nicely anywhere, and it's full of some of the best info I've ever read for being able to write college papers, reports, projects, etc. effectively.

The item indicated "Instructor's Copy" which suggests it is the kind with additional notes and exercises to help instructor's present the material. This is just the ordinary retail copy available to anyone. Perhaps the description meant it was owned by an instructor, but that is irrelevant since a customer is concerned with the condition of the book, not the previous owner. I feel taken advantage of. That said, the ordinary copy is is fine condition.

Instead of spending $110 on the 8th edition at the time that I began the second part of college freshman English, my teacher suggested the 7th instead. So I bought it used for $10. Which saved me $100. This did the job and I still use it for any other writing I have to do in my other college courses.

We use this book in class every day and it has been extremely helpful in improving my grammar skills. I am sure that I will sell most of the school books that I collect over time, but I'm keeping this one for future reference.
