I wrote to Customer Service at YakTrax (because their own website gave no clear direction) and got the following answer: "The felt side goes upwards and the white side goes down". I immediately went to my boots and switched the insoles around because, stupid me, I thought the white side WAS felt! I'm glad the CS Rep clarified white side down. I hope they also fixed their own website to reflect this information. **Q: Will this fit a size 14?** A: I am a size 12.5 and it was enough inside 2 different shoes I own. I think 14 would be too big for this. **Q: I'm not understanding how an insole can be 5x6x12 inches. How long and wide are they at the longest and widest points? And how thick?** A: The actual measurements are: 4 1/2" (at widest point) x 12" long x 1/4" thick **Q: I am a wheelchair user - will these work if I'm sitting vs moving around?** A: I would think so. I wear them while sitting at a desk and they help keep my feet nice and warm. They are very comfortable and much warmer than regular old insoles which I don't like at all. I have purchased several pairs of these for different shoes. I’m outside for prolonged periods of time in a Manitoba winter and my feet stay toasty warm when I’m wearing them. They are soft and comfortable but offer no arch support. I wear an arch support orthodic underneath this felt pad. They are easy to cut to size using the enclosed template. I wouldn’t go without them once the snow flies.
