Review: It's not for everyone, But it's for Society - Look, this album isn't for everyone. I'm gonna start with that hard truth. It's hardcore by anyone's standards, whether your favorite musicians are The Ink Spots or Kanye West. I'm a big fan of 80's Hardcore Punk Rock, and this is hardcore as hell by my standards; and I love every second of it. This is what music exists for. This is pure substance over style. This album is far from sexy. This album is far from polished. This album defines the word raw and grit in musical terms more than most any other music that exists. Heavy gansta rap talking about literally murdering other human beings is softer than this album, even though this album doesn't mention a single drive by. This album makes death metal sound like whiny b***es complaining about nothing. While this album doesn't carry the same substance, I would say this album almost has the same impact as Fugazi or Kendrick Lamar (two artists I respect more than almost any other). Again, this album isn't for everyone. It's loud. It's abrasive. If you don't enjoy hip-hop you probably won't enjoy this album. If you do enjoy hip-hop, it's almost equally unlikely that you will enjoy this album. If you enjoy music that pushes music of all genres, period, this album is exclusively for you. In fact, Death Grips entire work exists for you, and if you haven't heard them yet, this is the album you should be putting your money on above any and all others from any artist in existence. The first song song here, 'Get Got', is probably the most poppy song in all of Death Grips library, so if you don't enjoy it you should just give up on the artist all together (...and you should give up on music all together,,, just listen to the radio, they'll tell you what's good for you, and then you can listen to all the Nickleback your little, useless, heart can desire). Beyond that, however, it's an emotional rollercoaster. The songs aren't political. The themes aren't as cohesive as, say, early Modest Mouse. That's what makes this album beautiful, though. It's wholly subjective. I can almost guarantee no one else heard this album in exactly the same way I did within the several listenings I've given it. I can almost guarantee no one else will hear what I hear, and I can almost guarantee no one else will hear what you hear. For those who can't interpret what I'm saying here, in my opinion the inability to pick an album apart and create a shared experience is what makes an album truly timeless. It will sound just as good by the standards of 2116 as it does by the standards of 2016, because in spite of the cultural changes that may occur between then and now, the emotions expressed here have always been experienced and will always be experienced. It helps that the emotions expressed are subjective. I promise a 20th anniversary remaster of this album, when that comes along, won't sound much different than today's version of the album, and that's because the point of this album is clear in how unclear it is. Music that doesn't try to appeal to the lowest common denominator tends to be the most timeless. The most timeless music tends to be the best music. Based on that, I'm willing to say that 20 years from now, after the current glitz and glam of todays music has worn off and has become dated, this album will remain one of the greatest of all time. Where it lands on the list presented is unknown to me currently, however it already belongs in the top 500 albums of all times. After contemporary music becomes historical, I'm confident it will be in the top 100. After that historical best gets old enough to no longer be timeless, I'm will to bet it will easily fit in the top 50 or even top 20 albums of all time. This album is the definition of a classic. Buy it, listen to it over and over again. It sounds just as fresh 20 listens in as it did the first listen. After all the albums released in the same year as The Money Store become only playable on 'classic; stations, songs from this album will remain just as relevant on more contemporary stations for years to come, and that's why this album comes with my highest recommendation. This album isn't for everyone, and you probably won't think it's for you on a first listen, but I know it's impact will last longer than your, or my, lifetime. This is an all time great, and unlike much of the music I love of today, which I know won't last more than 15 years, I believe this album to be timeless. It sounds as good as any song or album from the 1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and will sound the exact same in the 2030s, 40s, 50s, etc. This album has my highest recommendation. It's currently in my top 20, and as the albums I currently place above it show their age I can imagine it will pierce my top 10 favorites. It's worth every cent you might spend on it. It's worth the purchase of the digital, the CD and the vinyl. If it was or is produced in cassette, it's worth that money too. (I'm sure it's not, but if cassette ever becomes cool again, though it won't, because unlike vinyl, its sound are in every way inferior to CD, digital and even vinyl... i guess it's above 8 track, but that's like saying paint is is better used in art than is blood. That seems obvious, but at some point it wasn't). This album is an all time great. College essays about this important album are being written as a type, and this album will remain great beyond the day the musicians involved, and myself, die. This album will have many haters, as it doesn't fit neatly within the culture of the time it was created within, but it does fit within the culture of human kind. It matches the emotions and mindsets of the average person in Greece, in Rome, in Dark Ages Europe, in any placce in the universe. This is an album about the human struggle, and anyone who's human should listen to it. Again, this album has my highest recommendation, even above many albums I personally currently enjoy more than this. This album, I believe, will survive longer in any society than some of the albums I prefer over this. If you haven't heard it before, I'd recommend the purchase of 'The Money Store' by Death Grips above most other music purchases. Culturally, this album is one of the best of my lifetime. I'ts worth every cent. I hope everyone who reads this, and gives this album a chance, can enjoy this music as much as I have and do.
Review: Amazing album and nice for display. - I'm a fan of Death Grips and decided to buy this CD to have as a nice Memento of sorts. It works perfectly fine but it doesn't happen to show on my PlayStation 2 (my main device for playing CDs), but that's probably just cause the songs are a different file type that the PS2 doesn't support.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Friend Loves 'Em!
*by A***. on September 10, 2025*

This is not my style of music whatsoever, but my best friend is a different story. They cannot get enough Death Grips! I don't get it whatsoever, but making them happy is important to me, so I was very happy to get this for them as a gift. I guess there are a couple songs that go pretty hard if I'm being honest. lol They're easy to get lit to, anyway.
