I would recommend Freshtomato now, Shibby Tomato project is dead, no updates since 2017. I have not installed on a "new" one, only V1 and V2. I have transfered files to the hard drive and downloaded from the hard drive. The Linksys Connect utility allows you to search your router for connected devices.This confuses me because the instructions on the box say this feature is not supported, but I assure you it is. **Q: How does this compare to the e 1200?** A: I honestly can't answer your ? It was recommended by our computer guy as the best for our situation.
