There were even brown spots on the inside. The largest cube had a chip off the white portion which covers the cardboard material.As far as durability goes, I don't see this lasting that long with a toddler or young child, essentially who it's geared towards.Is cute and stacks easily, but it's not toddler-proof and the seller sent a used one. She’s 21 months now and this is still one of her most favorite toys. It has held up nicely and made of a sturdy cardboard (like a hard bound book material). She loves to stack them and unstack. She’s not one to push them over. She loves the animals on the sides and counting the numbers.
