We need the shelf to be level, but the supports will be at different extended lengths. Will this work?** A: I am in no way certified to give advice on something as serious as this would be . just a homeowner that has always done all my own projects . Just a few things to keep in mind while considering- WHEN MOUNTED PROPERLY , this is a very sturdy and stout shelf that easily handles it's weight rating and then some. The integrity of the shelf IS in the mounting. The amount of weight you plan on loading and the pitch of the ceiling along with the ceiling's structural ability to carry the additional load without sagging . You may not be planning on a lot of weight initially but it all adds up after you see how handy it is to store on. If you are not sure of what to do seek the advice of a friend experienced in this type of project so you can bring more ideas to the table . Mine is mounted to the ceiling in my basement work shop (attached to the bottom of 16" floor trusses on 19.2" centers) and it is loaded over capacity I'm sure. In my opinion the only way to hang this rack is level because of the way the pieces fit together , so that leads to having to frame out a structure on your ceiling that be attached strong enough and be stout enough to let you hang the rack level. Good luck and be careful. **Q: I would like to use wire mesh instead of plywood. where can i get the mesh decking? i have looked and don’t see it being sold. any links or advice?** A: Amazon sells the kits with the wire decking included. These shelves were the answer. Very satisfied with the product. We ran into a little bit of difficulty because they shipped us one of each color but we contacted the company and they worked with us to come up with an acceptable solution.The instructions were not the clearest when trying to figure out how to attach the 4x4 sections but eventually I was able to figure it out.One piece of advice, don’t install the ceiling mounting brackets too close to the wall. In my case I only left about 3/4 of an inch which made getting the nut and washer on to the bolt a challenge. I initially stressed about getting the measurements exact right down to a 1/4 of an inch and then realized after much consternation that it wasn’t necessary.Overall, the product is very sturdy and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I read reviews complaining about the weight of the item and time it took to install: first of all it is holding hundreds of pounds above your head, do you want it to be lightweight and held together with a few bolts? No. Secondly, you assemble it one piece at a time, you probably never pick up more than a few pounds at a time so the overall weight isn’t an issue. Overall I was very surprised and pleased with the product and it’s sturdiness. I won’t be loading it with 300 pounds, but I’m sure it’ll handle it, I hung my 220+ pounds from it and it didn’t budge. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid stuff *by S***L on October 9, 2020* The instructions that come with the rack are not the best. I found the video helpful even though it was from a different model and once you lay things out, it's a fairly simple install. My depth barely made it in my garage as I could only use one bracket down for the 24" but it works fine. I do have concern with someone hitting their heads on the sharp edges so I wrapped them in a covering to lessen the blow.
