will this starter fit a 40 hp 4 stroke 1999 9 tooth gear ?

Not sure when this question was asked. Amazon asked if I would answer. I’d just call the outboard manufacturer and ask if they could cross reference the numbers and confirm it. That worked for me. Starter worked great. Merc 50hp on a 16’ Arima.

Does it fit to mercury 60hp 4 stroke 2015 ?

I just cross referenced the part with a supplier who looked it up to make sure. Their price was crazy so this saved me big money. Dealer wanted $450 and it wasn’t in stock.
