Thanks** A: It will look good. It will give it a sparkly look and will stand out on the black. I like using ps46 then backing it with black to make color changing car bodies. Then you can use lake flame to make certain parts have that sparkle. If it’s too much you can also get the pearl clear is smaller and more subtle. I don’t know what you are painting but the TS is Lacquer the PS is for Polycarbonate. **Q: Is this applied at the top layer? Or while the last layer is still wet?** A: If it's a clear lexan body it will be applied first since it is clear with glitter stuff then backed with whatever color you like **Q: Why is it described as "lame"?** A: This implies that you need background COLOR for this spark to show. If you spray a transparent polycarbonate plastic (for which this paint is designed) with Gold Flake only it will remain pretty much transparent, like it was never painted. The Gold Flake is adding pretty metal rainbow sparkling to the background. I used it over battle gray or black background and it is pretty. **Q: If I'm painting 3d printed plastic, should I use this as a 2nd coat on top of my base color, or this 1st and color after?** A: Definitely use this AFTER the base application. This paint is transparent. So far I've used it to tint the windows of a Proline body I painted and the results are quite awesome in my opinion. Although the can of flake looks small compared to paint cans, there is plenty inside and it doesn't take much to get the job done. The picture I added doesn't do much justice to how it looks on video or in person under light.
