I had tried Merrells in the past and they never fit but I wasn't happy with the quality of the current Salomon line and just tried these on a whim.I was all ready with a roll of moleskin but these were so comfortable, there was no break-in needed. They look good, have great support and there was no sliding around the toe box. Tried Danner, LaSportiva's, hokas as well with "try before you buy" and these by FAR were my first choice from the beginning. Will be buying multiple pairs for the future.
