Hope this helps. **Q: Has anyone tried using this dispenser without hanging it under a cabinet?** A: I guess you could do it that way, but it will add a little difficulty in using it, because you'll have to hold the thing steady (instead of being screwed onto a surface holding it for you). Mine is screwed onto the wall, and this is handy as can be, because the lid drops down open, with almost no effort (so even that's 'holding' itself out of the way)). So all I do is press the button firmly and not too quick (so it can grab a filter), then drop the lid open with but one finger. Voila! I love this thing. For a while I didn't have one anymore, and I was lost without it. **Q: Does it work with standard 8-10 cup filters** A: First, the standard is 8-12 cup and yes it does fit these. However, these have a long-term problem with this product. The sticky material that pulls the filter paper out of the holder gets clogged with paper fibers after about 3-5 months. I called the Cameo people that market the product) and their only solution was to send me a new unit. I found however, that purchasing UHU tac from a craft store solved the problem. UHU tac is a reusable adhesive plastic molding adhesive, You pull off a small piece and replace it for the worn out sticky gunk that is supplied with the filter dispenser. When UHU gets clogged with paper fibers, just scrape it around to expose new sticky surface and you are good to go. **Q: Does this work with bunn bcf100-b filters?** A: I think it should. If the bunn filter is flat bottom and not cone shape, a good test would be to take a bunn bcf100-b filter to the grocery store and compare the height of the sides of the bunn filter with the height of the standard flat bottom coffee filter. If the height on the bunn filter is no higher than the standard filter then the dispenser will work. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A practical container for a daily item. *by J***H on September 7, 2013* 2013: We used to have a canister like this in our family kitchen. After 20 years or so the adhesive blob wore out. I hadn't found a replacement until this "travel trailer" variety. I don't hang the container under a cabinet and I don't know if it is satisfactory used that way. I do like it sitting on the counter top. Nothing fancy. The filters are nicely protected. It works as advertised.Addition: it is now 11/2015 and the filter dispenser works well. I massage the blob every time a add another stack of filters to the basket. I have not needed to get a replacement yet. I don't know where I would find one..... may the day never come!November, 2016: The dispense is still working well with the original ball of adhesive. Every time I add a new bunch of filters to the dispenser I work the ball with my fingers to freshen it up. Otherwise look at the next review to see how to replace the sticky stuff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfect! *by R***T on June 28, 2015* UGH I hated trying to get one coffee filter out when two or more would come out, then I got this and it is perfect, every time I push down the button on this it grabs ONE filter. At one point it seemed that it wasn't grabbing well but I just smooshed the putty that is on this and it worked perfect after that. I also noticed that you cannot fill this tight or it won't work, so I just pack it lightly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great plus an easy way to renew sticky part that people complained about. *by F***I on January 15, 2015* I had purchased a new coffee maker. It was the first coffee maker I owned that used the basket filters. It's easy to grab a cone filter but after opening my first bag of basket filters well let's just say I didn't want to go through that every morning. That's when I found the Camco 43653 Coffee Filter Dispenser. After reading the reviews the only concern I had was the complaint about it not staying sticky which meant it stop working. When it arrived and I saw what was being used for the sticky stuff I knew exactly what it was. Sure enough about two months later it became harder to get the filters out. The sticky stuff is Duct Seal which is non toxic and you can buy at any home improvement/hardware store for about $3. Just make sure it says non toxic on the packaging since I don't know if there is a brand out there that might be toxic. Pinch a small amount off and roll it around in the palm of your hand until soft and pliable then just press it on. Don't use to much, no more than twice the size of the piece you removed. I gave it 4 stars because I had to buy the duct seal, they should included some for replacement. With the renewed sticky part it works good as new.
