Ridgewood Toilet Seat Eb

I am very pleased came in a box stating it was 18 5/8 by 14 3/16 . My old seat was ok but the plastic bolts that held it on deteriorated and broke after just 3 years . It was a cheap seat they basically put plastic throwaways on toillets you have to replace now a days . Since it was 7 bucks for the bolts and only 15 bucks for the whole seat I bought a new seat hoping it would be nicer . It is very nice . If I wanted to be critical the only downside is where the hinges screw into the seat you could get gunk build up . Otherwise it was great just pop the plastic cap and insert the bolt then use a phillips screwdriver to tighten . Really was installed in less then a minute . Very nice thick wood seat . Paint looked ok to me . The holes in the toilet are larger then the bolts so it could get a tad off center but never hurt the function like some have said theirs tilts to one side just loosen it , align and tighten down . It probally will move when you sit on it but again it doesnt effect function the only way to fix it would be to sleeve the bolts some how to fit tighter through the bowl which is not necessary . I am very pleased what a deal delivered for that price . Even at $27 the suggested retail price it would be fair . I wouldnt want to make one and glad I got rid of that cheap plastic one that came with the new toilet . I took it and mounted it to the lid of a 7 gallon pail after cutting the middle out of the lid and now have a portable toilet . I just line it with a trash bag after use pick up , twist tie and dispose when were tent or car camping .

It looks good and has some weight to it. It's cheap if you buy the 2-pack. You probably won't find any better since toilet seats seem to be pretty poor quality. The finish quality isn't great, and one seat had a small blemish. As another reviewer mentioned, the seat brings down the lid when you close it, but that is easily fixed by spraying the hinge with some WD-40.

Good, affordable product, simple to install

Bought two. Well made, easy to install, fit my toilets just fine. I love that these are cheap. Who wants to spend a ton of money on something you... well, you know what you do on them. Plus, I tend to replace my seats often because I get fanatical about my spring cleaning, so this saves me a good amount. My only gripe with them is that when I have lifted both the lid and the seat to clean, when I go to put the seat back down, the lid wants to come down with it. I have to push the lid back up so it doesn't fall on the seat. Not really a problem for me, but I don't want it to fall on my two year old's fingers if she ever goes to put the lid down.

Seriously - looks far better than the toilet seat I had before, which was there when we moved in. I think it's the ridges around the lid that make it look good. It was easy to install, fit my toilet perfectly and the color is spot on. I've had no issues with the item being poorly painted. Other reviewers have mentioned experiencing that. It's comfortable. I don't get numb, and it doesn't get sticky during longer....sessions. It's more likely to get slippery than sticky. TMI? It's stable (stays in it's place) once installed. Never thought I'd say the sentence, but I love this toilet seat. I'll be buying a couple more for my other bathrooms. The price is right ($17.52 at time of purchase). It's a better value than I could find at my local Lowe's or Home Depot.

We ordered and received this couple months ago. we have grandchildren who visit regularly who climb when they shouldn't using the toilet seat as a step to gain access to the shelves above, slam it shut and it survived the test of all this and more. It hasn't scratched or cracked. Toilet seats aren't usually a topic of conversation but when We were in the market for one I wanted to know how others liked it, was a durable and most of all was it comfortable so I'm going to hit on each of these. Having already stated this product is durable and has withstood some abuse(even the shelf above falling and all its weight on in it with it landing on the toilet seat) with no cracks, scratches etc. it is a comfortable one. So with saying all the above this is a product that is well made affordable wth a little comfort. What more could you ask for? It was packaged very secure and came right on time. We would recommend this to all who are in the market. Hope this helps anyone out there in the market for one. If anyone has any questions about the product. We will be happy to answer if possible.

I got the seat rizer but my seats bolts were part of the hinge. The riser came with very long bolts so I had to get this set. The 2 of them together did what I was trying to do. I priced cost of a new toilet that high but was crazy. I did the same thing for a small cost. The install of both was very simple, no getting on your knee's. I did use a cordless drill cause the bolts were so long, but had it all done in 10 min. Thanks for helping this old geeser.

UPDATE: My original purchase five years ago, whose review I've left in for reference, was great. When I needed another toilet seat, I didn't hesitate to simply reorder. I wish I hadn't. The new one looked basically the same, but felt lighter, and just cheaper somehow. After one month of normal use...it broke. While someone was using it... She leaned over toward the sink, and heard/felt CRACK! The seat split apart under her. (No, she isn't super-morbidly obese!) We were both stunned. Needless to say, I did not reorder this time. Instead, we bought a much nicer seat, with brushed chrome attachments; it cost more, but it was worth it. I don't know what happened to the manufacturing of this product since five years ago. All I know is that its current version looked and felt cheaper--and broke, from normal use, within a month. I no longer recommend this product. --- original, positive review --- Who knew that such a nice looking, nice quality toilet seat could be had for so little money?! Seriously, I'm really impressed. This toilet seat is very attractive, and its composition/weight give it a nice, substantial feel. There's nothing about it that says 'cheap'--yet its price is less than $15. Amazing. It comes with all the hardware you need. It was extremely easy to install, with nothing more than a flat-head screwdriver. There are two large plastic screws and matching wing nuts; you just place a screw into each of its holes, tighten it in the nut on the other end with your hand, and finish tightening with the screwdriver. Done! According to its box, it's made in the USA. Nice. I definitely recommend this toilet seat. Very nice quality and appearance at a great price.

We replaced a 5 year old plastic toilet seat with this wooden one. It had gotten scratched somehow (cleaning products?). This seat is a bit heavier and therefore you can't let the lid drop or it bangs quite loudly. We got it in summer so I can't say if the seat is any warmer than the plastic one, but they say wood is more comfortable. It was easy to install, fit perfectly our elongated toilet, great deal for $17 when they were minimum $50 at Home Depot.

Arrived early and fits perfect.
