Review: Excellent Blender - This blender is BIG. That is just what I wanted so that if I were blending soups or something in a large pot, I wouldn't have to stick my arm down in the hot pan. The Bamix is also super quiet, easy to clean and NOT MADE IN CHINA! There is almost no vibration while you're using it. My mom has almost 2 gallons of sour-dough starter that she keeps going and I used my Bamix to take out the lumps of flour that she couldn't whisk out. The starter is THICK. Even though it took me a little while, this blender did a great job and never even got warm. My arm did get a little tired- but I believe a lesser blender would have been fried. I've only had this since January, but I'm really impressed with the quality and workmanship. UPDATE: Sept 2018 My blender is still one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. It is used often and has never given me any problems at all. This was definitely money well spent. I'm glad that I got the version with the longer shaft, it's perfect!

Since our cheaper version of immersion blender deep-sixed just before Thanksgiving, I decided to get one for my wife. They are not cheap by any measure but what you get is definitely the cadillac of blenders. The GL200 Pro is exactly that, a professional model with a long neck, powerful motor, and accessories to meet practically every need. Used it recently to blend a pot of split pea soup and it only took a few bursts of power to blend all ingredients. This blender fits right in with our other appliances, Vita-Mix blender and Kitchen-Aide mixer, all with the power to accomplish any task. desertcart's price was also a selling point for us. If you want a workhorse for your kitchen needs, this is a necessity.

Way too much mixer for the average cook. This thing is massive and looks powerful. I returned it without using because it is just commercial scale. I'm sure it kicks butt.
