I settled on this one. Why?Firstly, we have a TON of three-way switches in our new build. It was already going to be expensive making everything smart, but if I had gone with a more expensive switch that also required smarts at each end, it would have been even more expensive. Since we have a primary place we'll be using the switch physically, but more often will be using our voice, I use this switch to make every circuit smart - but use a $1-$2 dumb switch on the other end - and it's easy to match since these look like decora switches. The overall circuit is just as smart and voice-controlled, which is what I want.This one installed and worked great in my tests. It's only downside for me was the little bit of delay that others have mentioned on turn off. But that is somewhat masked by one of the things I was looking for, which is the pleasant, smooth, fade-in and fade-out that these switches do. The delay doesn't bother me.Finally, I was able to buy these in bulk. Leave a comment if you want to know how, but know that for just a few, it makes sense to buy them here on Amazon. Since I wanted around 100, it made sense for me to pay a hefty shipping fee but buy in bulk. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Great concept but poor implementation where it matters most *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2019* Lets start with the good. It's a smart dimmer that supports "3-way" switching. There's not many choices for that on the market, and this seems to be the only one which can work alongside a "dumb" second switch. The provided wiring diagrams are clear and provide sufficient alternatives that they should be possible to do in most houses.Now the not so good. The wiring choices didn't let me replace my current dimmer with the smart dimmer. I had to replace the 3 way switch with the dimmer, and replace the old dimmer with a switch - effectively swapping the location of the dimmer control. With voice control that's not too bad, but it's not perfect either.The calibration is way off for my lights (LEDs). The 10% and 100% points look about the same, all the action is in the bottom 10%. Even at 1% my lights are still quite bright. I think the calibration was designed with incandescent lights in mind. Unlike other brands, this one doesn't seem to have a software calibration adjustment.Finally, the downright ugly. Connecting to my wifi was painful, and I still don't know how it finally connected. I installed the app on 2 different Androids and an iPhone. Using both "auto search" and "manual" none of them ever reported finding my dimmer. In the "access point" setup mode, all 3 devices found the dimmer, but would disconnect after 10 seconds because the dimmer doesn't provide an internet connection. After spending over an hour getting mad at the dimmer I gave up. I came back an hour later to try again and opened the ap to find my dimmer was suddenly there. Weird! And I don't know how to repeat this if I ever need to.Overall, if my favorite brand made an equivalent dimmer I would not have bought this one. However as they don't currently, I was forced to go with this. If my favorite brand ever does market an equivalent, you can bet this one will be coming out of my wall in a heartbeat, but until then I think it's just good enough to not go back to my "dumb" dimmer.Edit: I originally gave this product one star due to problems in the setup function, but after it suddenly started working I revised my review to 3 stars. The dimmer has now lost it's wifi connection and vanished from the "Smart Life" app. Setup has again failed to find the device. The apps suggestion of "try another router" is close - I suggest "try a different dimmer" ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Beware you cannot replace a 3-way switch that is at the end of a 4-way circuit with this switch! *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2019* Pay attention to the caveat that you can’t swap out an existing 3-way dimmer for this device at the end a 4-way circuit (eg will only work with one additional “flip” 2-pole switch on the same circuit - putting on end of circuit with one 2-pole/3-way and additional 3-pole/4-way switches won’t work). When you do, the switch seems to get confused, will turn on when you flip one of the other switches and then immediately dim off and won’t even turn on depending on the position of the other switches even though it has power just as a normal 3-way switch would.I am no expert but this seems to me like more a software issue than hardware from an electrical circuitry stand point?
