I got rid of the GoPro wrist strap years ago, wasn't crazy about the design. I used this to have it wrapped close around my wrist when I was paddling/horse back ridding/hiking, etc. and then could easily hold it up and out with my hand to take photos, or even the occasional (not that like to admit this) selfie.I have a velcro strap that I had around my wrist as well, something left over from a really, really old ipod workout accessory. I have a velcro piece on the back of my GoPro case, and had it 'stuck' to the velcro strap when not in use so as to keep it from just dangling with JUST this cuff strap. On a couple occasions my grip has gone and while my heart dropped securely into my stomach ... my camera did not follow suit. It is comfortable and unobtrusive. Now to the only reason this didn't get a full five stars ... if you are a right handed shooter this carry solution will completely rid you of that hand for any other purpose. Due to the design of the sliding mechanism It isn't the easiest to remove this strap to utilize your hand for say ... getting into a car, grabbing your wallet from your pocket, or EVERYTHING YOU DO DURING THE DAY THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE TAKING PICTURES. I guess this could be looked at as good and bad. On one hand, you get to become ambidextrous -or- relocate everything to the opposite side of your body for access. On the other, removing the strap renders the saving ability (spoken of earlier in this review) useless.I would say this shouldn't be a primary carry solution. Get one of the new peak designs carry straps as a primary carry option and keep this for the days when you know all you will be doing is taking pictures. The quick attachment things are pretty awesome to change out straps so this shouldn't be much of a burden. Wish it was a little bigger. Also wish the strap was a little longer. Have it on a gripped 5D Mark III, but it needs to go on the grip lug; not the camera body strap lug. If you put it on the camera body lug, it is difficult to get to use the shutter on the grip (vertical) and the plastic seems to dig into the memory card door of the 5D Mark III. I like the concept of the Peak Design system and it shows promise. I think it needs some improvements.
