Comes with carrying bag with backpack-style shoulder straps. 24 pounds Review: Love it - I live in apartment and I wanted a hammock I could easily put up and take down. This hammock is perfect. You unfold the metal support (unfolds like a camping chair), stick the pins in the legs to keep it from folding up on you, hang the hammock on the hooks and you're done. It was so easy. Two of the holes in my leg don't line up exactly right so I spend a few extra seconds looking for the hole but it is in no way hard to put together. Once you lay down and get stabalized it is extremely comfortable. It isn't terribly long but I'm 5'7" and I fit just fine and feel like there's room to grow. I imagine people taller than me will enjoy it as well. Very comfortable. I set it up in my living room and I can't wait for the rain to stop to actually use it outside. The bag that it comes in like the bags that the folding camping chairs come in but it has a zipper that goes half way down the side, making it extremely easy to get the unit back into the bag. I've put it in/out of the bag several times and found it really easy to do. It is heavier than I expected when I was carrying it so I wouldn't want to carry it a long distance, but I will carry it to the back yard or from the car to the beach. Update: 8/29/13. This hammock is still going strong. The carrying bag is starting to tear away at the top but I think they just use bad quality thread on it. I'll be sewing the hem soon and it'll be fine. We also ordered one of these for my Mom and after 10 or so uses her hammock started to rip at a seam. Mine is still in perfect condition but we'll need to get some industrial thread and fix the joint as well. The price point of the unit is why I didn't expect the hammock to last forever but several years and mine is still going strong. Once it starts to rip, the stand will still function and I'll find a higher quality hammock to use with it. But that being said, I'd still buy this again in a heartbeat. I still love it. Review: Not bad - I will be camping in a hot and humid environment, and I figured the best way to stay comfortable would be to have complete air circulation all around me: hammock time. The hammock itself is made mostly of heavy duty mesh, surrounded by the same sort of material good backpacks are made of. It is very breathable! The stand itself is solid. The hammock ensamble is very easy to put together. It arrived in a box, and in the box was a bag, and in the bag was the stand and hammock. Within 2-3 minutes of opening the box, the hammock was up and ready. There were no instructions provided, but simple intuition is really all you need to figure this out. The frame folds out to about 8 feet in length, and you simply attack the hammock to the hooks on the stand. That's it. The wight limit on the tag read 225lbs. Now, I weigh 235lbs. I cannot promise that your results will be similar to mine, but this hammock supports my fat butt. Still, I would not recommend going above 240lbs to really test the hammock. I am giving it 5/5 as a product, but my personal experience is really a 4/5, because I find it to be a little uncomfortable after a while. I am not sure if it is because of the design of the hammock, or if it is just because I am honestly too fat for it. Were I at/under the weight limit, I would have given it a 4/5, but it isn't the company's fault I am ignoring the tag. If you are hefty like me or are sensitive to less-than-comfortable back support, getting an ENO hammock may be a better option if you can camp where there are trees. If not, this is a good option!

LOVE IT!!! Incredible purchase!!!
Used it for the first time yesterday. I was thrilled that, folded down, it fit in the trunk of my Miata, since the trunk is so small and the hammock and base when packed is longer than I expected. It is a well constructed, heavy weight base that is very easy to set up. I live in a condo conplex and don't have the option of hanging the hammocks that I already had, either on my balcony or in the common areas. I was looking for something inexpensive that I could use when I wanted, and be able to take down easily so no one would run off with it. Also, I'm on the top floor, so being that it fits in the trunk of my car, I don't have to carry it up and down four floors. I have some major spine problems and things can be very difficult for me, but setup and take down is very easy. Can't beat the price on this since it has everything you need. I was very suprised at the great quality of this folding hammock base since it was such a low price. It greatly exceeded my expectations. Also, once set up, it is very easy to move around to sun or shade. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I would like to be able to adjust the height more and would like room in the carry bag for a small hammock pillow. Other than that, this thing is outstanding and totally worth buying!!! Might even buy a second one just to have it, or as a gift for someone else that enjoys the outdoors.

Frame is heavy duty and sturdy. Hammock and storage bag material is strong canvas ...
I don't normally write a lot of reviews but I ordered 2 of these and felt it worthy. I bought one for a gift and one for myself. This is an incredible product especially for this price. It is much more than I expected . Frame is heavy duty and sturdy. Hammock and storage bag material is strong canvas and appears to be very durable. It's heavy but the storage bag serves as a backpack so it will be easy to carry. Easy up and easy down. It takes only seconds to set up and relax. Thanks for this great product at an incredible price. I would have expected to pay upwards to $100 or more for this in a sporting store.

why this product is awesome 1. cheaper price compared to other portable hammocks 2. portable 3. i like to close my office door and take power naps (this fits nicely in a small space) 4. Delivery received prior to delivery estimate 5. Durable (i'm 6"0, 230lbs). I wouldn't buy this if you are taller or heavier though. Cons 1. If you are fat or tall, might not be as comfortable. 2. Set up can sometimes take a few minutes to get the pins in the frame. 3. Boss might get jealous at your superior focus and work productivity and fire you.

Very good quality. After 5 years of having it, it is still in very good shape.

It's quite a bit lower than I thought it would be looking at the photo in the ad. Once in it though, it is quite comfortable.
