iLive Electronics iBC233B Boombox Bluetooth Speaker with CD Player and FM Radio (Black)

I bought this item as a gift for my sister, and almost have bought one for myself at this point. I was torn between it and a model without bluetooth, but the bluetooth won. The sound is crisp and loud enough for her application (a house with noisy children), and the price is unbeatable, considering that it is Bluetooth, FM, and CD player rolled into one!

I have to say, I've owned this three days now and have yet to actually use the radio or CD player--this boombox was worth the purchase price alone for its quality as a bluetooth speaker. I haven't needed to use the other components because I've been playing NPR and Pandora from my iPad via bluetooth, and the sound quality is loud and clear for my small house. Just what I was looking for! (And it only took me about 30 seconds to connect my iPad via bluetooth; that's what I call user-friendly.)

Great buy for $6 Haven't been successful in setting up the blue tooth or using the tethering cord for streaming audio from my phone. Came with directions and accidentally got thrown away. I think they would have been helpful, I wasn't expecting there to be much more to using it than plugging it in and switching the source but there's obviously a little more involed for setting it up/ Mostly I wanted it just as a radio for in the house that could easily move from room to room and for my child to use for listening to books on audio cd which it does both well. It will be or would have been a bonus if the bluetooth or audio steaming tether cord work.

UPDATE: This device is garbage! I bought it because I needed a Bluetooth speaker as well as a CD player and I enjoy listening to AM/FM radio. I actually needed all of those functions to work. Two months in the Bluetooth stopped working. Now the back light doesn't work. This means I can't see which function is on, what station I'm turning to, if CD is set to repeat.... this Boombox is just junk! The CD's do still play and the radio works but I could have paid half the price for a boombox that does only those things so I'm pretty disappointed. 2 months after purchase: 3 Stars- I bought this "Boombox Bluetooth Speaker with CD Player and FM Radio" because I wanted and expected it to be a boombox that can play my Bluetooth, CD's and FM radio. Unfortunately for me, after 2 months the Bluetooth stopped working. It no longer sinks with our devices. The good news is that the CD player works as expected. Also, the FM player does well and I seem to get all of my local stations just fine.

I purchased this to play cd's at my son's wedding out of state. When the time came, the volume control did not work, so everything was at one level - LOUD. Needless to say this put a damper on the music, so we only played a little piece of the first 3 songs (which were played during the ceremony itself). There were THREE of us trying to get it work. I requested a refund/exchange from Amazon, only to be told "Sorry, it's been more than 30 days". I hadn't thought about that when I purchased it, because it was one of the lightning deals, and the wedding was only 6 weeks away, and that was the only reason for buying it. I contacted the company, and they were no help. They needed me to have it in my possession, but I had left it with my son where he lives. So I had him contact them, he was told they didn't know what the problem was, and for me to contact Amazon again. While carefully wording an email to the company, my son called me to say the unit somehow mysteriously works now - he doesn't know what he did, so I'm not confident the problem won't show up again.

I read all of the reviews & I have to say this is the best product for the price. I didn't have any problems with the bluetooth. The cd & radio work really well. The sound is as good as you would expect for what you are paying for. I would recommend this to anyone that asked. Very happy!!!!

I got this because I wanted something that plays cds radio and my mp3s on my phone and with a digital radio tuner (all in one). It does it all. I really like it. I like the digital display (blue). Sounds very nicely. I have a Samsung note 2 N7100. I hooked it up to the blue-tooth on this boombox. Was simple easy and mp3s sound great out of the speakers. Cds and radio sounds great. No remote but that's ok. I recommend this to anyone. Good price good product. Least it was till few months later cd player quit working. I want it to last a few years not a few months.

I love that it has a bluetooth and I can listen to whatever I want on my phone! I do use it in my home office and have noticed that the volume doesn't get very low for a small space. If I need it really low I have to use the bluetooth and control it from my phone.

El producto es bueno, basicamente, pero en cuanto a su funcionalidad bluetooth, a veces da problemas cuando lo conecto a mi laptop, con el celular funciona bien, como reproductor de cd, radio y bocina por entrada externa es una maravilla

Worked straight out of the box: Bluetooth, Radio & CD player. Sounds great in the Kitchen. Bluetooth seems to have a long range. Didn't need to read the operating instructions. Very simple to operate. Couldn't be happier. Will make a posting later if anything changes.
