My old case flipped open which could be a struggle for her to manipulate.This case is easy for her to hold while she watches shows from Amazon Prime and to page through books we download from the library.It hasn't been dropped yet - that'll be the test. She doesn't really walk around with it. It seems like the Fire would survive if dropped from a toddlers height.I ordered the turquoise case and was immediately approved by my toddler who exclaimed "Pretty!"
