              STRATAFIX Spiral PDO Device comprised of dyed PDO is indicated for use in soft tissue approximation where use of absorbable sutures is appropriate. In vitro studies demonstrate for needles 3-0 and larger, the STRATAFIX Spiral PDO device retains about 80% of original strength at 2 weeks and about 40% to 70% at 6 weeks post implantation. For needles 4-0 and smaller, it retains 67% of the original tensile strength after two weeks, approximately 50% at 4 weeks, and approximately 37% at 6 weeks. STRATAFIX Spiral Devices provide smooth tissue passage and a secure hold that helps control tension and achieve excellent tissue approximation.
