Bought on Amazon Today's Deals for $39 dollars. Nice label maker. Works great and fits in your hand nicely. Hook up to your PC/MAC is easy and is the best way to print labels. The "so called" short life battery problem is not really a problem at all. It is very easy to just remove the battery while not in use. Also, when the 420P is hooked up to your computer the unit will continue to operate even though the battery charger remains plugged in to charge the 420P. This will allow the battery to stay fully charged. Only when using the 420P keyboard will you be unable to charge it and print labels at the same time.

I use this all the time. The adapter makes it much more convenient than loading in batteries. Keyboard/keys are easy to use and understand but the ability to connect to my computer is fantastic! The app/software and USB cable make it extremely easy to use because it can connect to your computer and the labels are much easier to format and type this way. The ability to insert graphics on the labels is great-- it helps the labels be more effective visually. This prints fast. The label is bought are dymo brand and the seem to stock and last well buy in trying some alternatives I found here on Amazon.

I love the utility of this little gem. I can use it just like it is. Plug it in, battery charges while I print my first labels. Took a few minutes after that to download and install the software on my Mac. I was impressed. The software worked with this machine and gave me what I expected. And, if I just want a quick label, I don't plug it into USB on my computer, I just print them out. Definitely my best purchase in label makers in a long long time.

I do love the label maker but as others have mentioned the battery drains very fast. Even if you don't use it. Worse is it's a proprietary battery. I wish it just took AAs. If I had it to do again I'd get a DYMO that uses regular batteries

First, this is a great label maker. Second, their customer service is outstanding. I had trouble with my first label maker not charging. They sent me a new label maker! (Turns out the problem was with the cable.) They answered my emails promptly. I wish all customer service could be like this!

Pros; Great machine for labels. Technically I love this machine. C-O-N-S........... This machine can not hold a charge more than 48 hours. I have gone through many batteries because; 1. If you leave it plugged in it will eventually swell and you will be getting another battery 2. You can take the battery our after use EVERY TIME but, who needs that The problem with this unit is that the engineering on this unit is very poor. Does not completely turn off when you hit the OFF button. It still has a constant drain of power. It will be dead in 24 hours. So unless you want to get a new battery every 6 months or remove the battery after every use don't bother with this Piece of Crap! I have since done some measuring of the battery problem with this unit. With the unit OFF it still has a drain of 22.5 mA which means that a 1400 mAH will last about 2.5 days in perfect world. I have found it to be much shorter than that.

I use this to label things for a traveling music show, and the labels make finding things much easier. They are easy to read and hold well, especially the industrial version tapes. I’m glad to have a neat and professional labeling system available.

I’ve never owned a label maker cuz I actually never thought I needed one...until now! I’ve never been an “organizer” type of person...“controlled chaos“ is more my style, but I’ve recently decided, I need to change that way of living cuz organized really is so much more calming and peaceful - that is if u can actually survive the actual “organizing” part of the process LOL. So my journey to organize began...bins and baskets of many sizes, shapes and styles entered my life. Once I started organizing everything, I temporarily used a dry erase marker to label everything until I decided everything was where I wanted it. Then I decided, it was time....to own a label maker! I chose this one after reading many articles and reviews on label makers...yet another rabbit hole when trying to decide which one to actually purchase LOL. This unit is on the larger size, but has many great features, that someday, I’ll research in detail to know this things full capability. For now, baby steps...this organizing thing is very overwhelming LOL. I admittedly had to hire someone to come in and help me cuz I was like, oh my, I think I’m in over my head here! All in all, this was a great purchase. I find myself reaching for it more and more when I come across something that I now recognize, should be labeled. I’ve ordered all kinds of compatible tapes on Amazon (another rabbit hole LOL) and swap out the various sizes quite often. I’ve found that the 3/4” (and a 20 pt. font) are the ones I prefer most...easiest to read from a 5-10 ft. distance. It has a good battery life and doesn’t take that long to charge. It comes with a charging adapter as well. Dymo is a solid brand and I would definitely recommend taking the leap and making this purchase!

We have a Brady label printer at work that has an AC adapter, so initially I was going to just buy the same model for my home. I saw this Dymo and liked the description and reviews so I bought it. I'm very happy with it so far. Not only does it have an AC adapter so you can plug it in, but it also comes with a rechargeable Li-ion battery. The best feature, however is the software so you can create your labels on your computer without having to hammer them out on a small onboard keyboard. You can also add clip art to the labels.
