I use my recorder to assist with taking minutes of our HOA meetings and I'm constantly going back to sections to make sure I heard it correctly. While doing a playback, all you do is press the left arrow for a rewind. When you release the rewind button, the recording will automatically play from that point. Don't press stop and then press rewind. It picks up my professor just the same if he walks to the far end of the room. The files are easily saved.
