First, let me say I am also a software developer, and I would be humiliated to release software as buggy and crash prone as this. The GUI is riddled with bugs that make its use anywhere from extremely annoying to unusable. Unlike prior versions where they repeatedly released patches and fixes, no fixes were ever released for 2015 and now 2016 is available. The IDeA system for which I purchased this software crashes regularly and more often than not corrupts the chess database. This consumes huge amounts of time repairing the data. The software is poorly documented and the fanboys that use it seem to think that pointing you to YouTube videos made by users or having you search the "Rybka" forums filled with 10s of thousands of useless conversations for a discussion on the topic the author failed to document is justification for providing out-of-date and scant documentation. I have discovered a gross number of bugs in both the user interface and function of the IDeA system - so much so I don't even trust the data to be accurately recorded in the database tree. I would not recommend paying money for this software. In fact, I wish I could get mine back, Even if this was an open source project, I'd still warn people of the ridiculous time sink this "product" can be. I will never purchase *ANY* product from ChessOK again. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Review: A Good Way to Learn Openings - Chess OK Aquarium 2015 is an excellent way to learn openings.All the latest moves are available on the Graphic User Interface which will allow both the novice and the Master to play and experiment with whichever systems he/she feels comfortable with.For advanced players Stockfish 6 is a free download that's easy to install and will give you an opportunity to create your own theoretical opening novelties.There are different levels of play available here, and the novice and student can make tremendous strides in learning their shortcomings as well as their strengths. The instructions are vague and difficult to understand in regards to database management explaining how to save games and bring them back for analysis, which is why I didnt give 5 stars.
