The stand stays in place and the material does not seem cheap and does not have any weird smells.The bad... the placement of the handle and the size of the handle is horrible. The handles are right above where your charging cable goes in. They are so far down that it overlaps with your charging cable causing the handles to push your charging cable. I know this will definitely cause my power cable to fail sooner than later. My main concern is if it will actually mess up my charging port on my fire tablet. I am debating returning it because of this. The placement of the handles also make it so you can not see the buttons on your table. They are tucked in behind the handles. If you want to turn the volume down you have to turn the tablet around to look for the buttons. If the handle placement was different this product would have been greatIf you found my review helpful please click helpful ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stops Unwanted Screen Touching *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2019* I used this in an airplane on a 15 hour flight and in the car on a 10 hour road trip and it was PERFECT. My child is in a rear-facing car seat and this enabled me to set up her favorite shows without allowing her to touch and move the screen. We brought it through the airport, in and out of a ton of hotels, and everywhere in between and my kindle never once got scratched or chipped.She can hold the sides of it easily herself (which, again, prevents unwanted screen touching), and she likes for me to set out the stand so that she can watch a video in the floor.The only trouble we had is that it can be somewhat tricky to hit the on/off button when waking the kindle up and turning the screen black. Otherwise, it’s an awesome product and I like it better than the kid amazon covers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 year old love this case too *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2019* The stand on the back is great.
