    Noisy amp in tiny box

*by S***R on Reviewed in India on 16 September 2019*

We are getting 3 whole amps with different settings for MIC and MODULATION (or simply put CHANNELS). In addition we get 3 MIC positions and under MODULATION we get 3 channels: CLEAN, HI G and HOT. For Eq settings we have LO and HI only, no MID.:(LEVEL and DRIVE decide the output which becomes very noisy before crossing the middle positions of either. This is a big piss off. And despite having a noise gate NR300, I am getting quite noise in the end. That's why I cut a star. But wait...I connected a MIC500Ultrgain in between guitar and TM300 as a pre-amp. If I remove the pre-amp, the noise is considerably reduced.Have you thought this pedal to be your combo amp going into mixer or into computer directly? Yes, this pedal can run without an amp actually or with an amp. Select AMP as TWEED for CLEAN playing without distortion from pedals. This is supposed to be the Fender Tweed sound.Choose BRITISH or CALIFORNIAN AMP for distortion play. British turns it into a Marshall and Calif turns it into a Mesa Boogie! You can mess around and find some new TONE of your own! Please do so and share, just don't tamper with the pedal. If you connect some distortion or similar pedals to it, keep MOD to CLEAN and very less noise will be generated. And this is how we use any amp if pedals are needed for distortion or overdrive. If you want to take advantage of its own Distortion, use HI G or HOT MOD.It works well with EQ700 put before it shaping the sound as needed and with DR400 put after it to add delay in any MOD.Final verdict: not for everyone but for players who have small solid state amp or no amp at all, this pedal has many uses till you actually buy your Fender or Marshall or Orange or Laney or ...:)

I am a bedroom guitarist and own an Orange crush 12l amp. While the amp sounds great by itself, it falls short of chunky distortion. Paired with the TM300 and its different modes and settings, I can get a very natural sounding overdrive and distortion through a complete solid state set up. And it gets loud evenly. Has a slight noise at higher levels but the knobs and switches do offer different tones. Mic setup is one option I never fiddle with. Worth the money easily

Worth the price of if you’re a beginner and want to have tube amp sounds

*by V***L on Reviewed in India on 22 February 2021*

Behringer gives really great sounds for the low price. This pedal gives a total of 27 different tube amp sounds of 3 main amps1)Tweed (Fender Twin Reverb)2) Brit3) CaliIt has many other tube modellers which alters the way you want the sound asIf you want a low output consider getting a noise gate with it as I paired with a 40W bass amp (gives a really great sound tbh) the output volume is quite high even at 10% so consider getting a noise gate if you have a medium wattage amp and don’t want to disturb the house. Overall I’d give a 4.5/5 for this pedal. It’s true that Boss gives a better sound but if you have a budget concern and want to get a great tone out of it this is the pedal.PS I run this through a Squier Affinity strat hooked up to a Stranger PM40 bass amp(mostly I play bass) and it gives me a great tone.
