At first I noticed that I could not sleep , because it was beeping all night.. then I started getting used to and sleeping through the beeps. After 1 month or so, I noticed that I was not clenching as hard as I normally did, although it did not stop the habit of clenching.I was happy to the fact that the pain was gone in the morning from not clenching too hard. However after 5 months wearing the Biofeedback headband I noticed that my eyelid started to drop, unfortunately this headband is very heavy and it will pull down your forehead and your eyebrows, it happened to me. I stopped using right away. After a few months I thought I would give a 2nd chance and use the headband again, even thought it could push my eyebrows even lower, I was again desperate for a way to get relieve from my awful habit of clenching.This time I start noticing that the machine would stop during the night and I would wake up in pain.. it was not picking up on my clenching anymore, I could touch my teeth hard and it would not beep or the beep would be fading , I changed batteries, but the problem still there. After a few nights of frustration I notice that my eyelid was more droopy then before.. then I gave up for good. I think Lee should create an alternative way to wear this biofeedback, it is just not an good idea to put this on your forehead , to pull the skin down all night . Sadly it did not work for me consistently.I used the unit for several weeks and at first it did dramatically reduce my clenching. However, my mind adjusted to the biofeedback patterns, and ultimately ignored them. I tried varying the volume and sensitivity but my mind kept adjusting. Perhaps I did not give it enough time, but wearing the unit started to feel uncomfortable during sleep, and would wake me up with false alarms if I tossed and turned alot, which I do normally. It also shut off a couple of times because it lost contact with my muscles during restless movements.I gave the device 3 stars because it has promise and may work for you if you are not as anxious, or restless sleeper as I am. And I had no issues with the company. I received the unit within a few days of ordering it, and the return process was prompt and fair. I followed all the steps in the Troubleshooting Guide and they did not work.
