I had water in my screen a year ago. Went to a shop and they replaced the screen and left screws loose inside and the corner was dark without colors. This time around at Orlando my phone got wet. Was able to dry it but the screen was damaged. I looked all through the internet and ebay. This screen is AMAZING!! The brightness is good and the screen does NOT HEAT UP at full brightness. I dont know what was wrong with the other chinese crap, the screen will burn up and the back of the phone would get extremely hot and battery drain was awful. Probably cheap 10-15 dollar screens. THIS ONE IS THE BEST ONE!!!! Also buy the adhesive waterproof seal on amazon. It comes with a bue plastic peel off. You should be able to find it easy. INSTALL the seal before the screen!!!!! if you dont you will need to remove everything again!! After reporting this to customer service, they very kindly and quickly sent us a replacement without further question. I am pleased to report that the replacement product works perfectly! My husband’s phone is now in great working condition again. The home button works and his battery life is lasting as usual prior to the screen replacement.I recommend this product for a cheap and easy DIY phone screen replacement. You don't need to move your old ones to the new screen. Most other screens sold on the aftermarket don't include the front camera or earpiece speaker attached.What you should be aware of:My kit didn't come with a screen gasket to keep it safe from accidental water intrusion.The lowdown:I'm not saying that everyone should replace their own screen, but for the average tinkerer, this isn't a big project. The hardest part for me was opening the case to lift the old screen off. Once inside, it is a matter of a few cover plates and screws to get the old screen off.The most delicate part of replacing your old screen will be moving your home button from your old screen to your new one. Be extremely careful. If you damage the home button, you will need to take a trip to the Apple store for a replacement screen and button as they only sell them as a unit. Additionally, any damage to your home button will likely render your Touch ID useless. So be extremely careful when removing your old home button.If you can keep track of all of your screws and cover plates the job should take just a few minutes to do.My kit didn't come with a gasket but fortunately I had one from the battery I purchased to replace at the same time.
