Surprisingly pleased by a Vacuum Cleaner.
I like gadgets and tech. Cleaning house, not so much. But I have to admit, I was amazed by this vacuum. It's light, it's maneuverable, the suction is impressive, the fit and finish are immaculate, and it's crazy versatile. It glides easily over carpet and hardwood, with a little switch to select the floor type, and a lever on the handle to further adjust the suction. Even at its worst, it's not nearly as loud as I expected. The power cord is a generous 25', and coils neatly on the side, clipping in place when you're done. The pivoting head is a delight to slide around and under furniture, and for all the places you can't reach, there's an expandable arsenal of universal Shark attachments. There are myriad ways to combine tools and extensions for any purpose, each with their own little customizable tweaks. Accessories rotate and retract and effortlessly snap together into any number of clever configurations. Want this bit but not the brush? It slides down the cuff. Want this brush but upside down? No problem, just swivel it around. Everything locks securely in place while you're doing whatever vacuum-related task you're doing, using a series of little grey pushbutton latches. Depending on your configuration, you can have a floor vac, a canister vac with a stick, or just a handheld unit on a retractable hose. And when you're done, another little button releases the bagless dust catcher, which is easily emptied into the trash. Using a vacuum this well-engineered and high quality not only makes chores easier, but actually a little ...fun?

Great vacuum, great suction, finally my own vacuum cleaner
OMG. The day has finally came. I've had kids of all ages in my house for so many years, that we never spent much on vacuum cleaners. Because the kids always ran over everything and would break every vacuum we had. We've recently become empty nesters and i finally decided to purchase a good vacuum. I absolutely love this vacuum. I have a staffy/bull mastiff mix that sheds bad, bad. I had just broom swept my whole house including my area rug in the living room. I vacuumed for about 20 minutes and filled the cup. Not Because it's a small cup. The cup is actually very big. But Because of the suction on this vacuum. It's incredible. The only con i have is that although it is light weight, when you have it on full suction it is sometimes hard to push, especially on a rug. Other than that one star delete, it's a great vacuum. Love the swivel head and although some people said the cord was too short, 25 feet worked great in my house and i have a pretty big house. You may have to move the cord every now and then, but that's a lot better then having to empty the canister all the time. I'll take it any day. Shipping was on time. Two days just like Amazon said. Also, thanks to Amazon for their payment plan or i wouldn't have been able to purchase this great vac for a while. It was a little bit of a splurge, but now that i am the only one going to use it i deserved and needed a new vacuum and this one more than fit the bill. Tip to Ninja add one more accessory holder please.

Shark ZU62 Works Great For Long Human Hair Not Wrapping (but has some caveats)
Old vacuum I am comparing the Shark ZU62 to: Dyson DC07 which I've had for at least 20yrs. Also, I have thick long hair and got a new vacuum because I was tired of having to cut my hair off the Dyson rollers that would get entirely wrapped like a coat, after just one or two vacuumings. (And I brush my hair OUTSIDE to avoid hair in the house but as we all know, we shed!) And I'd think I just cleaned it, so would vacuum the entire house, then go to empty the dust bin and see there was almost nothing in it, only to turn over the vacuum and see the rollers were bound in thick wraps of hair! Finally had it and went looking for one that can handle hair! Pros of Shark (each item earns 5 stars imo): Super easy assembly and nice design in terms of that Great suction, did fantastic job on my deep pile carpet Nicely balanced dust bin, lightweight, good size, easy to remove and empty, easy to clean with hose Easy-to-reach and change/clean foam and HEPA filters Nice guides for hose so it doesn't kink Storage for the two accessories it comes with Easy button control for hard floors or carpet Fine grain control over degree of suction by a convenient "dial" that's easy to adjust on the fly Head swivels (also a potential subjective con for some) Self-cleaning no-hair-wrap rollers (THANK YOU!) 5yr warranty, and a decent manual with print large enough to actually read Cons: Short cord suited to a motorhome... really ?!!!??? The head is just 12" wide (some could think that an asset for getting in narrow places) Swivel head makes maneuvering trickier, and not sure how handy it is, though will get used to it Swivel puts more strain on wrist, especially on carpet, so maybe not best for someone with wrist issues (I don't have wrist issues, but could be something to consider if you do) Cord comes off the back, low on the machine, so to keep from stepping on it, have to pull it up and hold it in the hand you hold the handle with, which takes up 3 more feet of an already too-short cord Wheels not suited to rolling over thick carpet being too skinny, better suited for hard floors Vacuum not balanced well due to the wheels being so close together vs spread further apart, which is why it easily tips over when using attachments; but suspect this design choice is due to the swivel head, as a wide wheel base would make the swivel less responsive to turning While i has plenty of cons, the Pros are so powerful I just took off one star since the point of a vacuum is to clean, and it does that so well, along with being easy to empty the bin, with easily accessible filters. The Dyson came with a 35' cord ... this Shark cord is so short I connected a long extension cord to it, but once I use it a month or so and get the feeling it won't be conking out on me, I will void the warranty by cutting the plug off and splicing more cord to it of the same gauge/amps, to make it 35'. It's unusable the way it is, for me, and not gonna mess with an extension cord every time I vacuum for the next many years. On the positive side, went over the entire house, and doing that with the Dyson would have wrapped a good amount of hair on the rollers, but I was shocked that when I was finished with the Shark, while the bin was 1/3 full of debris, there was *not one hair* wrapped around the rollers!!! Honestly when I looked at the rollers before I vacuumed and saw some do have bristles, I thought 'this is never gonna be wrap-free!' I just *knew* my hair would be all over those... but NOPE. Clean as a whistle! (And vacuumed again since I wrote this review, and the roller is still hair-free.) Even if over time there does come a point where I have to clean the roller, I can see it is going to be few and far between compared to what I had to do with the Dyson. So I am very happy with that feature! It also picked up way more lint/debris than the Dyson, leaving the carpet looking 'deep cleaned' (meaning deeply vacuumed vs just picking up stuff off the top of the carpet). Noise-wise it's a little loud on the carpet setting compared to the Dyson (also loud) but who expects a vacuum to be quiet? As long as it does the job that's ok with me, and it's not unusually or abnormally loud imo. If you have a deep carpet though and have the suction adjusted near the max, it's going to be hard to push, true of any vacuum with good suction. If it's too hard, can dial back the suction. I'd rather have that option than something that was super easy to push but didn't do a good job. Bottom line, now that I've used it, I'd buy it again. Even with the handling issues and the short cord, as I can deal with the handling, and can fix the cord problem. I can't fix a machine that wraps my hair all around its rollers!

Had for 1 year; Would Recommend!
We have beat this vacuum up for a year now, and it has never plugged, had hair in it, or quite working. Filters haven't needed replacing other than cleaning them yet. Well worth the money for the ease of never cleaning the rollers. Has great power, and obviously it has the suction adjustment so it works great on our rugs too. It looks sleek, isn't bulky, and is relatively quiet. Would Recommend!

4 year review!!! Excellent still
After 4 years this vacuum still works like new. Very strong and light weight as well. This vacuum gets used almost daily for cat litter/hair and does a amazing job. It usually picks up said litter in 1 pass and has all of the attachments to clean other things like the couch and cat tree. It doesn't take up much space and has been a great value for the money I paid. Pro tip: Take out the filters (white sponges) and wash them in the sink with a little dish soap and light rubbing every now and then. I have never replaced them in 4 years as they are still looking good.

My take on this vacuum
I would give this vacuum a four and a half out of five. I think it's a great vacuum. I have a lot of pets and wood floors in it picks up nicely. Keeps my house clean. A couple of things I don't like about it is the location of the cord. I wish that was up more. Not so low on the vacuum. The other thing I don't like is the hose is not long enough and anytime I go to use it I forget it. It barely goes a few feet and then the vacuum falls over. Somehow they needed to come up with a longer hose. But the hose picks up great. So I do like that it has great section power. Also the cord could be a little longer. I had to add an extension cord to get around my house because that's my preference. But overall it's a great vacuum and I hope it lasts me another couple of years.

Best Vacuum Ever!
This is one of the best vacuums I’ve ever bought! My previous vacuum cannot compare. It’s easy to use. It is a little heavy but it’s worth it. If you have a pet get it, will get all of there pet hair, best part is you don’t have to clean the hair out of the roller!

Anyone that says this has no suction needs a saliva test...
Better than Dyson suction and cleaning...yes, for the pansies out there it is more difficult to move around at full suction but it does a great job cleaning...think aerobics so you get some exercise... the variable suction is a plus on area rugs...yes, it doesn't go under furniture as easily as my last Shark but I don't care...this was like a rototiller on my piece of crap contractors grade carpet. This is actually way better in terms of suction/cleaning than my last shark with the smooth roller in front...the small holes behind it constantly got clogged impairing its performance even after one use and I consider that to be a design defect. I'm not going to nit-pick about some strings, etc. being caught up in the mechanism but this design stays FAR cleaner than my other sharks (and other vacuums I've had over the years). It may not be perfect for some and of course longevity may an issue for another time. I'm suspicious of people never changing/washing their filters and then complaining when the machine breaks down. I've seen people not changing their house filters for years and then complaining that their furnaces didn't work. This thing is so efficient in my mind that the filters should be washed/changed more often. BTW, I never cheap it out by not buying extra filters when I buy a new vac. Those are a necessity for any vac purchase. I'm very satisfied. Way more than I thought I would be. Edit: this unit is by far the easiest to clean. After dumping the debris from the container I ran it under the sink and it looks band new- no nooks and crannies that are difficult to reach and clean including the plastic filter. IMO this should be done every time after using the vac. This thing even picks up a certain level of dust my other vacs never did. If this died I would replace it with exactly the same vac if it was still offered.

Mind Blown
I knew my old vacuum wasn’t doing the best job but until I used the Shark Navigator, I had no idea how terrible my old vacuum actually was! The Navigator made my carpets and floors look amazing again. I couldn’t believe how dirty my carpet has been this whole time. I would absolutely recommend it.

Best vacuum ever, I had a Dyson before this!
I recently lost my Dyson in a separation , I needed a vacuum right away because I have hairy dogs. The stuff that came out of my living room rug was disgusting and amazing. Obviously my last vacuum was not doing the trick. Only downside is that it is heavy to use on stairs. Love that it is good for carpet and wood floors with the touch of a switch.
