These work better than me using those wire cake cutters, very clean. The wire ones would always snag on my crumb (whether dry or moist).Also make sure you have a long knife in relation to the size of your cake and take into account that these take space from the knife so the cutting length of knife is lessened. You need that push and pull motion/sawing motion.I bought a 14" cake knife and with these, it gives me a 12" area to slice.
