As a result, he’s developed a major pressure sore on the edge of his gluteal cleft. This pillow has made a major difference! It’s lightweight for the caregiver, making it easy to carry, adjust position, and move (this is a huge bonus that you won’t understand until you’re a caregiver), and sturdy and purposeful for the user. My dad’s face lit up with excitement and relief when we first positioned him upon it. I gave the “softness” quality three stars because it’s not overly soft — it needs a moderate degree of firmness or the problem it’s meant to help will not be addressed — but that’s the perfect balance of cushiness and density necessary. I would definitely buy more products from this company based on the success of this one.

**Q: What is the size of the hole itself?**
A: I could not use this. I had major back surgery and the donut is VERY HARD. I do not recommend purchase of this product!

**Q: what patient weight is this rated for?**
A: I weigh 290 and I'm thinking of getting my money back.
If you weight a lot, you'd be better off just rolling/shaping a beachtowel into a donut shape.
