This creates an awkward hand position for me. My hand cramps while trying to grip this tall little mouse.Additionally, the right and left click buttons do not work about 10% of the time. I have never had another mouse where the click buttons did not work. This is annoying and makes you think there is something wrong with your computer, when really it is the mouse not working.The tilt functionality sounded cool at first, but in reality I never use the tilting. The mouse will just end up tilted all the way to one side or the other while I'm using it. The tilting is not particularly smooth or fluid so it doesn't just tilt around effortlessly like you might imagine.Overall this is a neat concept, but the implementation leaves something to be desired. The larger version of thismouse might be better. Also, I think the mouse should be significantly shorter, ie closer to the table.Since writing my original review, I have purchased several other "ergonomic" mice. Every single one has been better than the Smartfish. The Smartfish in my opinion is a horrible mouse made with low quality components. The full-sized one might be better, but given the poor quality of the small one I would not purchase the large one.Try the Evoluent Vertical Mouse, or the Swiftpoint mouse instead. ### ⭐⭐ Seems to help with RSI -- but mouse features are unreliable. *by X***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2013* The mechanical "twist and roll" feature of the mouse seems to help me keep my RSI at bay; the best solution is to touch the mouse only when you actually use it.I am disappointed with the electronic aspects of the device. The tracking is inconsistent, sometimes it will just stop tracking and then restart a second or two later. Sometimes the scroller doesn't respond for a few seconds. I have two of these (one at home and one at work) and both have the same problems (and it's not a low battery, does this even with fresh batteries). The mouse is also very picky about the surface you use it on. I have several other wireless mice that I use (Logitech and Microsoft) and they do not exhibit these issues and are much more tolerant of the mousing surface. I'm using the back of a small notepad at work to get reliable tracking there and an old plastic mouse pad at home. Many of the surfaces that work fine with the other mice are not good enough for this mouse.Despite the tracking issues above, I'll continue to use these mice (I actually keep a second conventional wireless mouse in each location to use with my left hand when I find my right hand is getting numb or sore), but I am frequently frustrated by the inconsistent tracking. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Worked really well for a few months. *by X***X on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2013* I bought this mouse because my wrist was started to become irritated from being stationary. I picked up this little mouse and loved it. The motion was much better, not to mention it was sorta fun to see the reactions from other people when they attempted to use it and realized what it was. The battery life was good and it did what it was supposed to. Gradually it started having issues - you had to REALLY mash down the left click to get it to respond. It was pretty rare at first, but the longer I used it the worse it got. Now it's almost unusable which is really disappointing. I really liked it up until then.
