It really does the trick when my skin breaks out and I spot treat. I even rub this oil on problem areas of my face as a preventative. I love how my skin clears up pretty fast after applying. About half the time when I order this oil, it smells great. The other half of the time, it really stinks. I'm getting really frustrated that they cannot make this product to consistently smell good. Smelly or not, I do have to say, the product still works, but WHY would anyone want to rub on oil on their face that smells bad??? I paid enough for it that I do it anyway, but my husband hates the smell as much as I do. I don't apply it as often as I should because I'm sparing him from the awful smell. I'm 30 years old and have had zits since I can remember. About 6 years ago, instead of the larger zits I was used to getting, I started getting all these tiny little bumps all over instead. My esthetician said this was more along the lines of adult acne and are clogged pores due to over oil production. I've tried numerous things to get rid of them. Facials, different washes and lotions, and went to the derm and used topical cream as well as ingestive pills, which neither are good for you and I didn't like using. My dad actually told me about the doTERRA essential oils and I found this. I've been using it for 2 weeks and now the bumps have already cleared up significantly. Plus, my skin looks extra clean and healthy. The only downfall is the smell. It has a very strong lemon scent, almost like a lemon cleaner, but you get used to it. My boyfriend says I smell like a plant, but he has also gotten used to it. I put it on after I wash my face and let it soak in and follow with my moisturizer about 20 minutes later. I only use it at night, as I don't want to smell like lemons at work.I'm interested to see with continued use if my skin stays clear.
