Thank you kind stranger! **Q: how roomy are the pockets ?** A: Back pockets are normal size, front pockets are tiny. They are shallow and come to a point. I can barely get each of my hands into the empty left and right front pockets, so it is hard to get anything out of the pockets. I try to carry a notebook in the front left pocket and it barely fits, but then it is hard to get it back out since it fits snugly under the waistband. The notebook is 6x4.25x.75 inches. For this reason alone I will not buy any more Dickieds unless I can check the pockets beforehand. It's too bad, because the pants fit great and look sharp. **Q: How big are the cargo pockets? Not enough clothing brands make this kind of classic style pants with a high-rise that can be worn above the hips rather than 'at' or 'below' them. In other words, they're like high-waisted pants but you can also wear them lower if needed or if you want a lot of room in the crotch. On the down side, they're made of a stiff, scratchy material that might soften over time, but for ~20 bucks I'm not complaining. The color I got totally does not match the picture. It is a greenish/yellowish khaki rather than the neutral sand color that was pictured. Not terrible at first but after wearing it a while it started to bug me and I probably should have exchanged it. I appreciate that Dickies offers some shorter inseam sizes so that I don't have to spend money to get these hemmed. I got these in a 32 waist and they seem very big. I got another pair in a different color for 31 and those now seem a bit tight.
