It's basically a piece of smooth fabric about the same thickness as a dress shirt with a name patch on it. It will not provide much protection against wetness because of how thin it is. It doesn't seem to be water resistant. It is nice in that it will put a boundary between your kid and a dry surface, but wish there was a smudge more to what it is.
