These will not work with 1/4 bolts. They have smaller holes. Tried the hardware stores to match but they are not SAE, also tried metric but a 6mm was too big and a 4mm is to small. They (ACE) did not carry a 5mm bolt. Also the dimentions are listed before the bracket is bent. Hole to hole is 5 in with 6 1/2 in in length.
