Now, usually buy these from my local Shop Rite, but since I was buying saffron on desertcart, I figured I would buy my Goya chorizos from desertcart as well. I've read quite a few reviews about this product, and I don't think it's appropriate to try to compare these chorizos to an artisanal brand or old-world family recipe, because these are MUCH LESS expensive, and you still that get authentic Spanish flavor and texture you look for in a chorizo. And, if you are slicing and adding these chorizos to rice like I did, the paprika in the chorizos imparts some nice, aromatic flavor and some beautiful color to your rice. While I agree that you might find better chorizos at a specialty, gourmet deli, those other chorizos also cost a lot more. But the Goya brand chorizos strike a nice balance between taste, texture and affordability, and I recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever!
