The word doesn't stand out and you really have to look for it. It is not a "dark" engraving or very deep. It bothered me at first but I like that now because it doesn't take over the ring. I think that if the word was any bigger or deeper, the ring wouldn't be as "delicate" or "minimalistic."Overall, I'm very pleased with it all around and you can't beat the price or the shipping.
