Victron Energy 1200VA 12-Volt 120V AC Pure Sine Wave Inverter- NEMA 5-15R

Very well made, feels robust and of very high quality, very powerful output, barely makes any noise, I want to get the Bluetooth device to better monitor and have detailed information.

This is a great inverter. Buy this brand with confidence. No buzz or humming noise. Just a great product.

Love this product, easy to use and runs a fridge with absolutely no problem. I bought this for use with an off grid solar system, and some deep cycle batteries as a backup power solution. I use it to run a whirlpool refrigerator side-by-side counter depth, and it will run very efficiently for hours with this inverter. The inverter is slightly heavier than expected, and bigger than I originally thought it would be. I also tested it with a Keurig coffee maker, and a toaster oven both of which ran no problem. It did struggle a little bit with a heat gun on High that had a load beyond the 1200 VA. But when I ran the heat gun on low, it worked completely fine. Definitely would purchase another product from Victron very high-quality products and best in class for inverters. My only hesitation is I wish the cost was a bit less but overall the product is very high-quality and works great.

This is the fourth inverter I've had to install in my off grid solar system and hopefully the last. Unlike all the others there is NO annoying fan noise all day and night. This thing is super quiet and efficient.

I bought the 12v 1200va model, can run up to an 8 amp load. Mounted in a hybrid vehicle. I used 2awg for power and ground to battery, keeping cables short and 4awg for chassis ground. Cable size and length is IMPORTANT. Pluses: 1. True sine wave 2. Unlike others, this puts out 120vac, not 110. Tested with a Fluke 87 V meter that can read pure sine wave. 3. Unlike others, minimal sag in voltage as load increases. 4. Runs cool. 5. 0ptional Bluetooth, great for monitoring remotely. 6. Remote trigger can be added to switch unit on via (1) 12 volt trigger or (2) with just a simple on off switch. Here’s an example (see pic) - ran two 1950s era vacuum tube amplifiers on a PA setup for a yard party on this on a less than ideal 14 gauge 100 foot extension cord and maintained 118 VAC with a 2.5 amp draw.

Victron always builds solid quality products. This inverter is up to spec, it weighs 16 pounds and provides 800-Watt Continuous power, 1500-Watt peak power with high efficiency and 1-5Watt draw in zero-load power ECO mode. As compared to my previous inverter this one easily provides continuous 930 Watts for hours daily to recharge my Solix F3800 during morning hours when solar power is low. It supports V.E Direct connection to a Cerbo GX or via Bluetooth, but you must purchase the dongle separately. The inverter runs cool and has a fan that is extremely quiet even when pushing 900+ watts for hours in my shed where temps can reach 120+ during the day. This unit comes with a single non-GFI 120vlt AC outlet. When connected to the Victron Connect app you can see VA\WATT output, DC battery input and inverter status. You can also control advanced settings in the app including ECO Mode sleep and wake wattage limits. Like all Victron devices this integrates seemlessly with other devices and just works! It also comes with a 5 year warranty, that says alot all on its own. They stand behind their products and build them to last.

I needed an RF quiet true sinewave inverter for the hamshack and Victron has a reputation for being able to accomplish that. I am not disappointed. Before I had a China made pure sinewave inverter and it put nasty birdies across every band from 15 meters up through 70cm. Basically unusable. That inverter weighs about 6 pounds. The Victron is about the same size but weighs 16 pounds. Just based on that I believe the Victron is better built by far. I'm running it off of a 260ah 12v LIFEPO4 battery and its running the entire shack with exception of the legal limit amplifier.

On the VictronConnect app it shows 0% load even though I got a load close to the full capacity connected. The white indicator on the scale shows a value but the scale goes up to 200 even though I got a 1200 watts inverter. On the VRM portal I do see the watts under AC Loads but on the VictronConnect app its all incorrect. Now, I got a load percentage reading before updating the firmware so I think it is a firmware issue and may be fixed in the next update. In terms of efficiency and performance this inverter is outstanding. The packaging was terrible, I received it damaged (see attached images). The foam packaging for this 1200 watts 20 pound inverter was the same as the 250 watts (5.5 Pounds ) inverter. These inverters are way more expensive than other inverters on the market so I wish they would package them safer. Will I buy again? Yes. Will I recommend? Yes
