But I would suggest a thicker paper such as construction paper, if you're painting something. But they do write just like a pen would. If too much pressure applied however, it will leave a small pool of paint... **Q: Is this permanent on fabric that is washed often?** A: These are paint pens used in artwork. I have never used them on fabric. I use them on wood mostly. For that application they work great, I’m just really not sure they would work on fabric. You could always buy 1 to try on a scrap pc of fabric, let it dry for at least 24 hrs and the wash it. I’d be interested to know myself if it works. I bought labels to put in my husband’s clothing in a nursing home. I will try my Posca pens on fabric myself. **Q: Does this work good on leather? Will it wash away from leather with water or leather oil?** A: Haven't tried them on leather, but I imagine they would work just fine. You would need to apply a clear coat to keep the paint from rubbing off.
