It completely blocks heat coming from register in ceiling. The upstairs bedroom gets so hot when furnace is running and I've been looking for a way of blocking it completely. I tried a sheet of plexiglass inside vent cover but its a hassle taking it in and out each season and heat came thru. This is easy and tight. Just way over-priced. It might be ok in a basement but not a living room.I bought 1 unit to try out and decided to return it. Unfortunately, the seller - Battic Door Energy Conservation Products - will only allow a return if I pay for both the freight to ship to me and back to them. That means practically no refund so I will just recyle it.
