I wanted the color spray paint to be one that I could easily match all over my home exterior. So far it’s holding up, but the glossy base white does make it more difficult for spray paint to adhere to.The size of the box is huge! I really like how smooth the flag moves and goes up and down. You really need to spend the extra money and get the box AND the post. The lines are striking. It is a heavier gauge metal than what you can get from the big box, and these look just ones you would see in the 50s, obviously. Made as well, too. My only criticism is that I spent a lot on this set and it didn't come with mounting bolts. Got a box of machine bolts and washers for like a buck and a half, but you'd think they'd come with. I'm crazy about the angles and color. Look how the angle of the flag follows the angle of the post!
