I used to buy string bikinis by a brand that isn't around anymore. I have been trying to find underwear for a couple years now. I know that sounds weird, but I'm REALLY picky. I don't want underwear to ride up. I don't want the waistband too tight, or where it gives you that bulgy look under a dress. I don't like the waist-strings to be tight, where it feels like it's almost cutting you. I don't like "grandma panties". I don't like high-waisted underwear. I don't like boy shorts because they don't completely cover your...cheeks. I don't like thongs because...no thanks. I don't like underwear that isn't 100% cotton. Of course, these are all personal preferences, but these underwear are none of these horrible things.What they are:True to size. I'm 5'4", 150lbs, usually a 6-8, usually a M in underwear (I know no one wants to share, but please do if you can -- it helps!), and I ordered a M. String sides don't cut your hip crease. They don't ride up. They don't squeeze too much or give a bulgy look. They are 100% cotton. They cover my whole butt, but there's no extra or excessive material that make them saggy -- it's like they form fit without being too tight. I didn't notice any shrinking, pilling, shredding, or anything else weird after washing and drying -- and I neglected to put them in a mesh washing bag because I was in a hurry! They're actually comfortable; they actually fit!Bonus: A variety of colors!I hope I'm not over-amping them up, because that almost always leads to disappointment. What I do know is that it's taken me a long time to find acceptable underwear, so I'm stoked on these.Highly recommend. I wear an XL. I have wide hips, but often times panties that fit across the hips are far to big in the bum, or strangely baggy in the front. Or they fit everywhere else but cut into my skin at the hips. These fit perfectly. As for quality, most other brands I've found seem to disintegrate after the first or second wash. These are very well-made and durable, though the 'sporty' material is maybe a little thicker than expected. With the variety pack, some colors are more appealing than others, and I received more solids than patterns. I received 2 or 3 pairs of the same color in some cases, but no real complaints there. It's exceedingly difficult to find string bikini panties these days, and even harder to find any that fit well or last. These are very good, but a little excessive on coverage, in my opinion, especially in the front and crotch. But, the material doesn't billow or bunch, and everything stays in place/no riding up. So much that I purchased a second batch. :)Not because the first batch wore out or anything -- actually, they're still holding up really well -- but because I wanted to get more before they disappear and I never find them again.(Come on, ladies, you know the phenomenon I'm talking about: you finally realize that a particular item is your absolute favorite to wear, but by then it has disappeared from all stores on the face of the planet, and you resort to desperate Googling to try to find any remaining one out there in the world. I wanted to avoid as much of that bummer as possible, so I just went ahead and stocked up on these suckers. :)Also, just a little perk: each package I've received has totally different colors and patterns, nicely assorted darks and lights. Plus the second batch was even higher quality than the first -- they used a better and prettier material for the elastic bands. Very pleased!Great for everyday wear, good fit and coverage, low rise, comfy, don't ride or bunch. They should last me a couple years, if not more, which is a great deal for only ~$2 per pair.
