I prefer to carry a couple, and take out the cleaning stick and leave it at home, so I don't lose it. (when I first opened the box, it sprung out of the box). These are a balance being much better for the environment, and so much better than many of the alternatives (struggling without one, paper/dissolving straws, metal spikes, I mean straws).
