The label calls it a recover strap and *usually* that means they have a stretch factor (a.k.a. "snatch strap") that assists in pulling things out of the snow, mud, etc. This is not something you want in a winch strap - it should be rigid for this use. Fortunately, I am using this for ATV/UTV use and as far as I can tell there isn't any stretching happening when I tried it out.
