I just wanted a little extra resistance when I went walking. They do move around a bit. The thumb holes do help with that problem, but I found the thumb holes to be really uncomfortable. I couldn't find a replacement anywhere so I bought this Thumbtack wrist weights. It's a tad short, and I have tiny wrists. The velcro attachment is also too short to cover the whole band; I need to be mindful when doing arm movements so that the rough part of the velcro attachment does not rub on my skin.
