They bolt directly on to the Jeep and are much better than the plastic that comes factory. All of the necessary hardware is provided, but we opted to use the factory bolts from the jeep because they were longer and easier to work with, but they fit right into the nuts that are provided. The only thing I didn't know would be necessary was to use the provided self tapping bolts for the back. This is because the holes from the plastic brackets are not accessible from the rear. It adds some holes to the back, but they are quality and it is worth it.
