Review: Great product with excellent customer service - I purchased this smart feeder for my cat. It was straightforward to set up though you need to connect your phone to 2.4GHz wifi. I have the same SSID for 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz, which made the setup a bit complicated. As a workaround, I set up my guest network on 2.4GHz, after which the setup was a piece of cake. This feeder is well made, with many thoughts behind its design and operation. It came with two feeder sizes - one for large kibbles and the other for smaller ones. I used the smaller feeder for my cat. The small portion size allows you to control how much food you want to dispense. Features that I liked about this smart feeder are - - You can program this feeder to dispense up to six meals a day and manually dispense any portions at any time. - You can toggle OFF or ON any programmed feed. I use this feature when someone feeds my cat out of turn. - The HD camera is very clear. I use this when I am away and want to check if my cat is eating. - This feeder has an inbuilt microphone and speaker. You can hear the sound of food dispensing and cat eating. I can call my cat to the dispenser by talking to and then watching him via HD camera. - Whenever food is dispensed, I get a notification with the number of portions dispensed. The app also shows the history of portions dispensed either programmatically or manually. It helps me track how many portions have been dispensed each day. Recently my unit developed an issue, and I reached out to Wopet support. I explained the issue to them, and they kindly offered to send me a replacement. This feeder is an excellent product developed and supported by people who proudly stand behind their product. I am not aware of any better pet food dispenser with all these features, reliability, price, and excellent customer support. I will purchase it again if I need to.
Review: Automatic pet feeder w/ built-in spy cam! - I LOVE this feeder & recommend it for more reasons than I have time to write about!! I have 2 finicky felines & due to weight issues, I needed to change from a bowl of food 24/7 to scheduled feedings, but that can be difficult when you don’t have a regular schedule or may be gone for a day or 2. This feeder madd the change easier than I ever imagined!! I never worry about being home or going home to feed my kitties, and if - no! - when one gets hungry early, or late, I no longer have to get out of bed to feed. I just grab my phone, hit a few keys, and - ta-da! - my cats have food & I get sleep! The app works great and is easy to use. Setting up or changing the feeding schedule and/or the amount of food I feed is easy & takes only minutes. I can feed them from my bed, the beach, or automatically! When they hear the feeder, which is NOT a loud, obnoxious noise but more of a quick hum, my kitties jump up and run!! Like another person posted, it’s pretty funny how they go from snoring to flying out of bed in a split second! An added bonus is the camera which is so good that I can see all the way down the hall & into the other rooms!! I teasingly, but could also seriously, call it a built-in spy camera. You can take HD pictures or videos as well as listen to or talk to your pets. I can’t say enough good things about this feeder!!

**Q: Is there a way to export photos and videos to your device? So far I've only been able to take screenshots of the photos.**
A: Mine automatically go to a folder in google photos ... Not sure how I set it up.   It actually creates a new folder .. so i just merge them myself

**Q: Are the storage container and removable bowl dishwasher safe?**
A: Don’t know. Nothing really sticks to it. So it only takes 5 seconds to rinse and dry by hand.

**Q: Is this the same product as wopet smart pet feeder fv01. if i purchase this item do i get warranty coverage?**
A: Not sure what model that is but I purchased this to replace my prior wopet feeder.   I did have my older one for longer than any warranty would have lasted before it seemed to have a software “glitch”.    New one works well, holds more food but does not have night vision although it was listed in the description, and as the prior model had.

**Q: Does this have a locking mechanism for the top so that my dog can’t get it open & take all the food out of it?**
A: In order to get to the food, you need to hold in the button on the side while simultaneously lifting the lid. The food  supply should be safe from your dog.

I purchased this smart feeder for my cat. It was straightforward to set up though you need to connect your phone to 2.4GHz wifi. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Updating my previous review.

At first I thought: App freezes every time you select ANYTHING. Cannot customize any of the settings let alone record or use camera. Bought two with high hopes. Will be returning. Edit: Initially I COULD connect the feeders to the app but it wouldn’t work when actually trying to use anything in the app. We have a dual-band Arris SURFboard Modem & Router. Found that my phone kept defaulting to 5ghz when using the app but the feeders will only connect to 2ghz (but for some reason I could still set up the app?). I had to get into the Arris settings, block my phone from the 5ghz port (found instructions online), then use the option for “manual set up” within the app for the feeders (couldn’t use the QR code). Once I finally got them to sync, I then unblocked my phone (iPhone 11 Max Pro) on the 5ghz connection and the phone still connected to the feeders. Thankfully. We then recently set up a mesh system. The app wouldn’t even set up this time and I had to delete all of the settings to start over. I redid the whole process again with modifications for the mesh (connecting the feeders to the modem/router by first blocking both my phone and mesh from grabbing the signal), then kept mesh blocked so they only connect to the modem but unblocked my phone. Took a little bit of trial and error because we don’t have our connections all labeled, but it only took about an hour to get it set up, including troubleshooting. Sometimes the feeders take a while to connect to the app when trying to feed manually, so I just have to wait until both are online or I can’t feed one right after the other. Overall, these feeders do work well and with hardly any learning curve for our cats (can’t say the same for me clearly, haha). They love it and I love not being woken up at 4:30am by hungry kitties. They eat their breakfast and go back to bed. Also, good piece of mind while out of town, or God forbid, incase of an emergency that prevented us from getting home for a period of time (closest family/friend is 3 hrs). They make me feel less anxious. The cats respond well to the microphone, so I can call them to the feeders to ensure one does not eat the food of the other when I’m not there to referee. The camera helps with this so. Although, I would suggest it would be better if the camera pointed down more so I can see the food in the dish to make sure one is eating all of their portion and it’s not getting gobbled up later by the other. I would recommend these feeders if you know how to work with your specific hardware. Hope this helps someone else.
