Both devices are suspended off of the table top and easier to view. I have become more skilled at adjusting the ball joint for a tight fit. This is often too loose. It took some concentration to get the hang of it. I have often wished to remove the ball joint entirely as it is the weakest link of this clamp. Patience and perseverance.
