It came packed in an inner Styrofoam box enclosed in a cardboard box, so it was well packaged. My cats thought the Styrofoam made a grand scratching post.The table seems to be reasonably well made--I didn't expect heirloom quality furniture at the price I paid, just something that didn't wobble. I only have three mild complaints that you might want to be aware of:1. The plastic ridge along the bottom of the table is only wide enough to keep my laptop from sliding off when the table is tilted. My mouse keeps hitting the floor when the table top is tilted. This is bad design--will look for something to compensate. I also bought this table to be able to put two laptops side-by-side, but won't use it for that until I solve the ridge problem--having a mouse hit the floor is way different than having an expensive laptop hit the floor.2. Even lowered to its lowest level, it is still too tall for me to work comfortably while sitting on my couch. It I tilt the table top to compensate, I'm almost typing under my chin. The table heights are clearly intended to be used with a traditional office chair. I'm going to take the wheels off to see if this will lower the table to a more acceptable height.3. You better not be intimidated by assembly instructions written by someone who doesn't speak English as their first language. They aren't so bad that a reasonably intelligent person can't determine what is meant as opposed to what is written unless you are hopelessly instruction impaired.
