We gave him a house party with approximately 15 three year olds so it was very important to me that we did not have any spills inside of the house. I am happy to report that there weren't any spills! The lids (the fire hydrant top) snaps on easily but it cannot easily be removed by little ones. I was also able to put these in the dishwasher without any issues. We were able to send these home with the kids as a party favor and the absolutely loved them. Let me also say that these are much bigger than I thought they would be, but in a good way! I can't remember how many ounces this is supposed to hold but I can easily see this holding 10 ounces. The straws are also long which is good. I would definitely recommend these if you are looking for a cute party favor that you can actually use during the party! I purchased two packs for a total of 16 and then later realized I needed 21. I bought a third pack approximately 1 week later. When I opened them all up to fill them with treats I realized that the third pack looked completely different than the first two. The color red was off, the straw was bigger and much different, and the actually container was noticeably smaller. Of course, 4-year-olds will notice the difference. When my son saw them all on the table he immediately asked why some were different. All in all these worked well for the purpose of party favors. I never put liquid inside of them so I don't know how well they actually work as a drinking cup. My son now uses the extras for playing in his sand box. I just wish the company wouldn't have changed the design/color/size in a matter of 1 week. Amazing price for these cups.I think $ 19 is more then enough.They are really nice and cute.
